Are you out of town this week? Do you serve Sunday morning and miss the offering plate? Do you not carry a checkbook with you each time you go out? You now have the opportunity to be a steward of the resources God has given you to manage when you have time to sit and pray about what he has planned. If this is your first time here, please look at the Frequently Asked Questions below for answer to common questions.
Is it Secure?
Our giving service is provided by PushPay. They have annual audits through to verify their compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). This verifies that PushPay has their servers secured keeping all of your information confidential and secured against malicious attacks. You are redirected from Spotswood’s website to a secure connection at PushPay to prevent prying eyes from seeing your information traveling across the internet. No bank account information you provide is stored at the church.
What if I give at the end of December. Will it apply to that year?
Online giving does take a few days to verify funds and actually transfer the money to the church. You will get an email confirmation of your transaction when it is complete. Even if your confirmation is received in the next calendar year, if you submitted the payment in the previous year it will show up on that previous year’s giving statement for tax purposes.
What about e-Giving?
E-giving was our previous online giving portal, however we are switching over completely to PushPay and doing away with e-Giving. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we feel this change will make giving even easier for you. We appreciate you partnering with us in this way.
